This article talks about “name” who thinks that Georgia is the bad guy in the recent conflict with Russia and that they invaded…
I think it is biased because Russia is really trying to take Georgia over…
I think this conflict will be resolved by the UN quickly…

The article is about troops who were deployed on the streets of Bangkok, after a day of clashes with anti-government protesters left two people dead and more than 350 injured. Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat, was accusing him of being a puppet of his deposed predecessor, Thaksin Shinawatra. Somchai has escaped the parliament building by crawling through a fence and was evacuated by a helicopter. Since Pad protesters clashed with pro-government supporters almost two months ago, the violence was the worst ever. Some protesters broke away and targeted police headquarters while overturning police vehicles.
My thought about the article was that it was really descriptive. I thought it was mean that the Thai Troop would hurt so many people. The prime minister was really mean to other people. He didn’t listen and he didn’t take his job seriously. Over all I thought that the article was very interesting. I learned something about what is happening over in Thai.
My prediction about the article is that so or later there will be a huge fight with Thai people and police man. Like here there was the Boston Tea Party, where the people got mad and the police. Over there it will probably be the same thing.

This article talks about Jerome R. Corsi, a Kenyan author who is anti-Obama. When Corsi was going to give a conference on his opinions anout Obama, all of a sudden he was arrested by the Immigration agents. Many people think that since Kenya absolutely adores Obama because he is Kenyan, Corsi was arrested because the government didnt want him to make his speech. The agents said that since he was in Kenya on a tourist visa, he wasnt allowed to give the conference because that would be considered working.
I think that Corsi was arrested because the government didnt want to hear the negative comments about their beloved Obama.
I think that this will cause a lot of suspicsion in Kenya because it is mysterious how the immigration forces happened to arrest him right before his conference. In the end i believe that Corsi will be released because the government will have raised too many questions and will not want to seem so suspicious.

This article is about how the U.S. and India are trading “nuclear technology and fuel in return for inspections of its civilian, but not military, nuclear facilities.” It also noted that France and India have made an agreement about trading nuclear technology and fuel.
I think this was a big mistake for the USA and France. I think that India must sign the Nuclear Peace Treaty before being allowed to work with the nuclear power. As they are a part of the “Big Five” they should set a better example and support the NPT.
I think this could easily back-fire the US. As part of their agreement, the USA cannot check the military nuclear facilities. I disagree with that because India was already under suspicion of experimenting with nuclear power.

Russia has opted to withdraw their forces from one of the checkpoints around Georgia, before the October 10 deadline. Marat Kulakhmetov, the Russian commander, told the people that he and his troops would be withdrawing from all the six checkpoint located around Georgia so the Georgian police can take over again. The French foreign minister, Bernard Kouchner, is now going to make sure that Russia had withdrawn.
I think that it is a wonderful thing that Russia has finally decided to withdraw from Georgia, because this ongoing conflict has begun to be solved. Due to the extensive fighting of these two countries, many people have lost their lives and have been forced to watch their families killed. Also since Georgia is a smaller country, there have been more casualties in this country against the soldiers that have been lost on Russia’s side. I am glad that all the killing wil finally stop, and these two nations will have some peace.
I think that this conflict will soon be resolved, because Russia is starting to understand that this war was not necessary, and is killing many innocent people on both sides. I think that the UN will not need to be involved, because this problem will soon be solved.

This article is about the demolishment of conflict between Russia and Georgia. Russia has now fully withdrawn from all areas in Georgia. This was surprisingly done so without any violence at all. Countless civilians from both nations are not tense and frightened anymore. However, some people are still frightened and they do not believe that the conflict has not been resolved. They have gone back into hiding. Now, Russia is challenging the USA in its “determination to enforce its global dominance”.
I believe that this is a great release of tension for the world because one major conflict is starting to be resolved in the world. Also the conflict between Russia and Georgia is decreasing and things are starting to get better for these two countries. However, this article was written in the perspective of a Georgian civilian and I would like to know the viewpoint of a Russian civilian.
I predict that this conflict will be resolved within the next few months or a few short years because Russia has started to withdraw. That is the first step to peace and security, cooperation between neighboring countries. However, I believe that the relationship between the Russian government and the Georgian government can never be the same again. I say that because war has practically destroyed that relationship and many others.

Summary:
In this article it is entailing that a suicide bomber occurred in Pakistan and killed afghan militants who were protecting the parliament at the headquarters. This tragic bomb occurred on Thursday, and happened to kill 11 people, four police men, four children, and three prisoners. As their defense towards the militants the war broke out and the intensity leveled had arisen. The way this chaos occurred by attackers giving a basket as a gift and it seemed to have been a terrorist. Reasoning being for their explosion was, to appoint chief lawmakers on international security to close session of the Parliament. Overall these airstrikes happened to cause chaos towards the afghan militants, as a threat but their government is not threatened; it’s just a tragedy they aren’t able to fix.
Analysis
If I were to describe the following article in one word it’d be nonsense. It is nonsense in my opinion because what the Pakistanis were doing to control their situation was quietly immature. Creating chaos is not the way to handle situations like these. This means if you feel that a following country is threatening your country, talk it out try negotiating rather than using confrontation. Therefore I feel people in general need to take things more seriously and not cause more problems.
Prediction:
My predictions are that maybe Afghanistan will fight back and take the situation as creating more wars they don’t need to start. But in their case they probably feel a need to defend themselves so Pakistan is not bombing them. I feel that it may have a possible outcome to more tragedies.

Summary:
Russia is blaming Georgia for all the attacks in the disputed territories. Border guards keep getting killed and Russia continually blames Georgia. People are saying false things about O.S.C.E. missions.
Analysis:
I think that Russia is to blame for the attacks. Russia is constantly blaming Georgia for everything. I think Russia does whatever it can to provoke Georgia and make Georgia look bad, but I’m not sure how this whole conflict started. It’s pretty confusing.
Prediction:
I think that Russia will continue to blame and provoke Georgia, and Georgia will have no choice but to fight back. I predict that either the U.S. or the U.N. will step in and solve things there.

Summary: North Korea announced that they will be restarting their nuclear weapons program, and they are banning all U.S. inspectors from investigating their sites.
North Korea wants to do this supposedly for the protection and well being of their country. U.S. officials are flabergasted, and they do not approve of this unexpected move. Many ambassadors are trying to negotiate with North Korea or come up with exchanges and/or programs. Being a country that quit the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty in 2003, they are not expected to give up its program easily.
Analysis: I am appalled that a country would go back on its word and put the world back in danger. North Korea is making a big mistake, in my opinion, and they could possibly start another world war with this crazy move.
Prediction: As I stated before, North Korea is not going to give up easily, if they give up at all, and it will possibly start World War III.

Summary:In the middle of 2008 the global financial crisisstarted to show effects. Stock markets have fallen, financial institutions have collapsed or bought out and governments are coming up with rescue packages to bail out financial systems. People are concerned that those responsible for the financial problems are being the ones bailed out. The global financial meltdown will affect the livelihoods of almost everyone. If the idelogues supporting the current economic models were'nt so vocal then the problem could have been avoided.
Analysis: I think that this financial problem really sucks because I got a letter to saying that I lost over $150.00 because of the crappy economy. I'm sure other people have lost more than I have, therfore that sucks for them. I hope thst this problem does'nt escalate because then we would lose more and more money.
Prediction: I think that the financial crisis will escalate because our economy sucks right now. Maybe our government will be able to fix this problem. I don't want to lose McDonalds!

this article is about modern pirates. A Ukrainian ship was hijacked by Somali gangs for about twoo weeks. The "pirates" threatening to blow up the ship and its cargo while having twenty hostages on board. The ship is carrying thirty three tanks and other heavy weapons which can be dangerous to the people. The U.N Security Council is trying to get countries to send naval ships and military aircraft to handle the sea bandits. For about two weeks, the ship owner have been trying to lower the demand for two million dollars but there was success. They are now ready to negotiate terms.
i understand that it is too much money to pay the "pirates" but we need to find a way to pay beacuse they did not seemed to lower the price for about two weeks. i think that countries should try to help out with situation.
i honestly dont know this might turn out but im thinking that with the help of the other countries, the pirates would surrender because they would be surrounded by many naval ships and military aircraft.

This article is about suicide bombers attacking and killing many people in the northwestern region near the Afghan border. They have seen many attacks like this for a while now. They believe since Pakistani forces have recently intensified anti-insurgent operations in tribal areas, officials believe that suicide attacks are a reaction to that policy. Other attacks have been the same like this one to destroy and attack politics.
I believe this is really wrong because killing people is not really the greatest way to deal conflicts. They should at least hear things in different point of views and thinking before doing someting.
I predict that the UN will soon be involved in solving this and try to get in understanding with the countries, but since many attempts of the UN has failed I don't really know how this can be fixed in a really fast manner.

In this article, it states that the recent economic downfall could revive capitalism. Recently, the Treasury Secretary announced a plan to take equity stakes in banks in order to replace them with new capital. This solution has been adopted by other countries such as Britan and Italy. Some political analysists disagree with this plan of attack, saying it is unclear and have reservations about the government deciding the banks that need help.
My stance on this issue is that I agree with the political analysists on it is a bit skeptical for the government to choose which banks need help. However, I think it could work if the administration chooses the correct banks to help and that it could bring us out of this terrible, terrible mess.
I think that the outcome for this could go two ways. It could completely flop if the government chooses the wrong banks to help and more and more banks fall further under. However, it could do the exact opposite and it could help the banks and solve this current financial crisis.

You are completely right about North Korea and their thirst for nuclear power. I believe that this country will put up a fight and I seriously believe that they are not planning to resign the NPT any time soon. North Korea's compliance on nuclear inspection demands by the US has resulted in their removal from the terrorism blacklist. State Department officials said this inspection agreement is in the interests of national security by taking North Korea off the terror list. What this contract entails is that North Korea will allow atomic experts to take samples and conduct tests at all of the already declared nuclear facilities.
I believe that the US has spoken too soon on taking North Korea off the terrorism list. One inspection is not enough to determine whether or not North Korea possess weapons of mass destruction, and I believe that this contract should be rethought, if not revoked.
The outcome of this agreement will be negative for both the US and North Korea. North Korea's allies will not be as supportive of them when the US is involved in their affairs, which is why North Korea will not benefit from this. Because the US revoked the terrorism blacklist on North Korea, they might consider removing it from other countries as well, which could possibly be damage our national security.

This article talks about how we as a world are putting our money into guns and violence instead of putting into important stuff like education. As stated on the article it only takes one percent of the worlds money to put almost all of indigunous people into school. Because as also stated most indigunous people of today entered the 21st centurary without knowing how to read or write.
I do agree with this article and think we should put our global money to more important things and situations to help future children and people of tommorrow. Although we do need some of this money to buy weapons for wars to defend the children of tommorrow so i do understand both sides.
I think this will be a situation that will go to the MUN and will help affect everyone and improve everyone in a way.

This article tells how an American was arrested in Pakistan for trying to enter a restive tribal area. The man was in this area because he was supposedly trying to visit a friend. He was under suspicion because he was carrying a laptop computer and a travel bag.
My stance on this act is that it was right to arrest the American under suspicion and because he was going into a restive tribal area.
In my mind, the outcome of this is that the young American will be sent back to Florida, and be let go without charge or crime.

The article tells us that North Korea is going to continue the nuclear dismantlement. They are going to disarm the nukes in thier country. They do this to get off the communist egime from a terrorism blacklist.
When Kim Jon II started the dismantlement, the people didnt like it to well. I was intrigued that they took posters of Kim Jon II and started burning them.
I think the issue will resolve, North Korea will be off the terrorism blacklist and the crowd will clam down. This realtes to Nuclear poliferation and I think North Korea can handle its own nukes so UN doesnt need to do anything.

This article talks about the raising conflict in North Korea regarding its nuclear testing and proliferation. Once again, UN troops head back to North Korea in search of these deadly weapons. However, North Korea unlike what they have done before, allowed these IAEA and UN troops access their primary nuclear factory, Pyongyang. North Korea is trying to demolish their stock of nuclear weapons. However, they will not do so unless the UN takes them off the blacklist of State Sponsored Terrorism which the UN has done so now. Japan highly disagrees with the UN about taking North Korea’s name off the list of state sponsored terrorism.
I believe that this article is very interesting because North Korea is starting to change. For some time now, North Korea has not allowed any UN or IAEA troops to search their factories because they were possibly afraid of the whole world. But now, North Korea has allowed troops of both organizations to search their number one nuclear facility. They have promised to decrease their number of weapons and that is a big difference in their views right now. However, North Korea will only do so if they are not on the list for state sponsored terrorism.
My predictions are that this could go well for the world or it completely makes a fool of it. If North Korea decreases its number of nuclear weapons, the world would be a much safer and happier place. However, with North Korea’s record, is it really hard to believe that they just allowed this one inspection just to be taken off of the state sponsored terrorism list? They could really fool the UN and the IAEA and still keep their nuclear weapons in secret places. With the things North Korea has in the past, it would not be a surprise to see them fool the entire world.

Russian troops leave Georgia, but disputes continue
Georgia
Vano Shlamov / AFP / Getty ImagesRussian peacekeeping soldiers drive military vehicles out of the Kventakosa checkpoint. Russia and the EU took a key step
toward resuming partnership talks after President Dmitry Medvedev pledged his troops would complete their pullout from buffer zones in Georgia.
Georgia says the withdrawal is incomplete. The future of its two breakaway republics -- South Ossetia and Abkhazia -- remains unclear.
By Megan K. Stack, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer October 9, 2008
MOSCOW -- Russian troops dismantled checkpoints and decamped from Georgia proper on Wednesday, abandoning a two-month occupation of broad swaths of the
smaller former Soviet republic and pushing the festering conflict to a new status quo.
The withdrawal brings a measure of relief but sheds little light on the bitter dispute over the future of Georgia's two breakaway republics, South Ossetia
and Abkhazia.
On Wednesday Russian troops began dismantle their checkpoints and leave Georgia. This withdraw is do to Russia and the EU taking
a key step towards resuming partnership discussion after Russian president Dmetry Medvedev promised that his men would leave Georgia Even though this is relieving for Russia, Georgia, and the EU disputes still rage on over the two break away regions of Georgia.
I think this is just a quiet period during the conflict. Sure Russia pulled out but Georgia wants their break away provinces and knowing the soviet bear I don't think it will release the juicy piece of meet from its jaws so easily despite peace talks and all that nonsense. I used the words Soviet bear intentionally because the members of the Russian government served in the former Soviet union. The most note worthy of these individuals is Vladimir Putin the current Russian Prime Minister. He served as a highly decorated colonel in the feared and respected KGB which is still is in existence by the way. It is just in another name the FSB. The Russians are a persistent people they will either win or go down fight. Just look at the Cold War. How long did that last for? Almost a whole century despite common beliefs of it starting after the second world war. The war against America, Britain, and the west started in 1915 after the Russian revolution. And of course it was spear headed by Russia. As we all know the Cold War didn't end so well for the Ruskies who went home with a broken nose and quite a few broken ribs, but that's not to say the Russians aren't still a formidable enemy. They have nukes that can be potentially troublesome. Whatever Putin and his friends might say about being pro west and that the Soviet Union is in the past is not true!! The Cold War is still raging on just not openly because they want Mother Russia to rise from her ashes and resume her place as a super power. How do I know this? Well for one Soviet officials are still in powerful as stated above. Isn't that kind of weird? Two a Russian intelligence officer who defected to Britain was killed by radio active poison around 2006 by his old service the KGB. Why did this happen I thought we were all friends and the Cold War was over. I thought that it was time to fixy, fixy, makey all better and play nicey nicey. I thought that defections are a thing of the past. Isn't the Cold War over. My last pot of evidence that Russia has an agenda is that their neighbors members of the former Soviet Union live in fear of them. Just look at the Chetchen war. That's proof of Russia wanting to rebuild their empire to take on the west but that is the past so let's look at the present the conflict between Russia and Georgia. The two break away provinces of georgia presented Russia with a great opportunity. They could get two new provinces and if they're lucky a nation Georgia and possibly maybe even more nations. The old Soviet Union will be reformed and the west can become one very scared puppy. The only that stopped them from realizing their dreams of power was international pressure but Russia proved that she wasn't going to just roll over and let europe do whatever they wanted oh know. When the US sent warships to Georgia supposedly to provide the Georgian with aid Russia retaliated by toying with the idea of helping Iran develop their nuclear program. To make things worse several former allies of the Soviets started to side with Russia. Oh joy another Cold War. If you think that wasn't bad enough Ukrain and Georgia started to batter down NATo's door demanding that this organization allow them to join its ranks. Russia got really really pissed but thankfully the EU managed to calm them down. It's a good thing that Russia is pulling back from Georgia but the conflict is far from over. I predict something bad is going to happen soon. Maybe another occupation of georgia because Georgia has made it clear they will never relinquish their break away provinces and Russia has made it clear that they will back these rogue states to the hilt.

1 Aditi S: I agree with you that it is great that Russia is leaving
Georgia but the conflict is far from over. Neither nation will give up
their respective claims on the two separatist regions. In my opinion
the Russian withdraw is just a temporary quiet period of a very noisy
war.
2 Noёl H: First I would like to say that I agree that Russia is wrong
for attacking Georgia despite what I'm going to say next. Russia does
have a point that Georgia is responsible for the attacks after all
Georgia did send troops to reclaim their two provinces causing the war
to break out. I think that Russia is wrong because they should have
not attacked Georgia. Maybe defend the two provinces that are pro
Russian but not attack Georgia. Russia was kind of out of line there.

Summary:
This article is about suicide bombing. But not just any suicide bombing, ones that are conducted by women. Now, there has been a massive increasing rate of suicide bombing that is conducted by women.Women now hold the account of over the quarter percentage of these bombings (28%). Some of the motivators for mother to do such a thing are; Maternal love and loss, for example losing a child to the violence around them. These mothers have a desire to take revenge. It has shown that losing a son has been a common denominator of many of the attacks, who are mothers. During the rule of Saddam Hussein many women were given light arms to protect their family against the threat of invasions. Also, some of these women are just "die-hard" Iraqi nationalists, and they believe it is their duty to save their country from the "evil" U.S. Then they believe that these bombings is a way of a cleansing exercise. Last, they use this as an exploitation. "The bombing conducted last month by two women with Down's Syndrome involved a more simple, and common, abuse of vulnerable women by terrorist groups."
Analysis:
In a way this doesn't surprise me. Over the years women have been getting more credit than what they had been before. They are starting to get the recognition for the things that they did themselves. I don't believe that what these women are doing is right. I understand that it is devastating to lose a loved one, and that you are a massive supporter of your country, but i do not think that it is worth taking your life. but, while you are taking your own life, you are taking the lives of many other innocent people.
Thoughts:
I think that these suicide bombing rates conducted by women can go either way. If the economy around them gets better, the the rates and percentages will go down. there will be less to be devastated abut and the wars between each other will go down. Or, something even worse can happen and these rates will sky rocket up. More and more men die every day, leaving the women and families behind, causing these depressions, and once this stops, the lower the rate will go.

This article talks about how we as a world are putting our money into guns and violence instead of putting into important stuff like education. As stated on the article it only takes one percent of the worlds money to put almost all of indigenous people into school. Because as also stated most indigenous people of today entered the 21st centenary without knowing how to read or write.
I do agree with this article and think we should put our global money to more important things and situations to help future children and people of tomorrow. Although we do need some of this money to buy weapons for wars to defend the children of tomorrow so I do understand both sides.
I think this will be a situation that will go to the MUN and will help affect everyone and improve everyone in a way.

I like the way you worded your paragraph and how you structured it. But I think your your intro sentence kind of rushes the reader and I think you should add a tap bit more facts. But overall your paragraph was great. It was interesting and informative(right to the point).

I like the way you presented the idea or topic but I think you should include more facts for your first paragraph because it kind of leaves us in a cliff hanger moment. I also think you should be clearer on your opinion but besides that its structure is great and overall well typed.
