http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/10/29/melamine.china.eggs/index.html
This article is about Chinese eggs. Contaminated eggs poisoned with melamine from Jingshan Pengchang Agriculture Product Company were found. Although the Jingshan eggs were not as contaminated as the Hanwei eggs, the melamine content was still above the legal level. Eggs that held melamine were also created by Ciyunxiang. The United Nations is worried that the Chinese put the chemical into animal feed and may turn up in other animal products. The Chinese has given their word to take action. One of the committees of the National People’s Congress is reviewing a draft law. The scandals of melamine have led governments to ban certain imports of Chinese products. Also, Bejing wants to bring back the trustworthiness to the “Made in China” label.
I thought the article was very informative about the Chinese eggs. I thought that the Chinese let it slip with the eggs and also the milk products. They obviously didn’t learn their lesson from the milk products and now the punishment is the contaminated egg products. The Chinese should apparently do more and improved checks on dairy products and do something about the dairy dealers. Other than that, I thought the article was descriptive and I hope the Chinese learn their lesson.
I think that the Chinese will sign the draft law pulled together by the National People’s Congress and the crisis of the dairy products will stop. However, if it does not stop, then all the dairy products will be tainted with melamine and the Chinese will lose their credibility of the label “Made in China”.

Summary: This article is about an Iranian lawmaker who accused President Ahmadinejad of bribing legistators not to vote for the impeachment of the interior minister Ali Kordan, and insodoing, the lawmaker slapped the president upside the face. The minister is being charged with a false claim to having an honorary degree from Oxford. The president had the lawmaker charged with assault, as his ear was "injured" by the "attack".
Analysis: I think this is a great example of how completely corrupt our societies and governments have become. Within them, our presidents are willing to go to outer limits to keep other officials from getting in trouble, to protect their own reputation.
Prediction: I think that this will not end well. I am pretty sure that the poor lawmaker will probably get executed, and the minister will get away with the fabricated information. Or there will be a riot. Just as bad.

This article is about the earthquake that occurred in Pakistan today. The confirmed death count at this point is 170 dead and still counting. This earthquake was epicentered just outside the village of Quetta in western Pakistan. The magnitude of it was 6.4, which caused immense damage to roads and buildings, making it difficult for support to enter the area affected by the quake. The newly elected government is having a difficult time providing aid for those affected by this devastating tremor.
I believe that this is a terrible occurence for the already troubled nation of Pakistan. However, I believe that this is a good test for the newly formed government. This situation is a make or break for the Pakistani government because they could respond to it extremely well, or they could flop and face international ridicule.
My prediction for this event is that the Pakistani government will prove themselves worthy. Although they are brand new and shaky on some subjects, I believe that they can pull through and work as an entire government and come out victorious.

This article was about how the UN was helping in a flood that happened in Yemen. Many people are died and thousands are left homeless without shelter, food, or medical care. The UN is building tents, and making food for over 20,000 victims who have been affected by this flood. An organization called The World Health Organization is sending medicines and other urgent supplies to treat over 50,000 patients and The World Food Program is also launching a special assistance program for 20,000 flood victims.
I think that it's good that the UN and other organizations are aware and concerned about this situation happening in Yemen, and are happy to help the people who were affected by it. But I don't think that the disasters in the world will ever stop happening, and not all of them are going to be able to be helped.
My prediction is that this will end up being a good way to help these people, and that they should be grateful for the help of others. But although many other disasters are happening in the world, not all of them are going to be helped soon, but it's good that the UN is helping and are involved with this one.

The following article is saying that 170 people, including homes, were killed and destroyed, on Wednesday, from a 6.4-magnitude pre-dawn earth quake. This issue is very serious because many people (46,000) may need shelter, and other special assistance. Since this earthquake has come into these people’s city (WAM Pakistan AFP), it has affected them immensely. Such as, panicking, finding loved ones, etc. many of the burials are taken into the graveyard immediately, and most of the burials were, women and children. According to Mayor Dilawar Kakar, the death toll stood at 170, and 400 people were currently injured, in the area. The World Health Organization, also known as WHO, is sending medical supplies ranging for 50,000 indigent people, while the United States offers humanitarian packages. The United Nations is taking the issue in action and is associating with Pakistan’s government. India also offered any assistance needed, as well as Turkey’s Red Crescent. In addition the international issue of the horrendous earth quake is being solved, and discussed.
From my perspective, this earthquake is a issue that cannot be stopped, but can be solved. What I mean is that anything can happen, without a least expectance. Being killed is horrible, but when it is a earthquake, it’s more horrible, because many if these innocent people were taken away from their life. Because of the earthquake’s appearance, it caused many problems with the city and so forth. Knowing that the government of Pakistan, United Nations, WHO, and Red Crescent are all helping, it shows that they care of the following international issue. I am glad that they are solving the problem as a first priority.
My predictions indicate that all the organizations helping to solve the issue, is a great help, and I am positively sure, the global issue will be solved. In terms of saving these people’s lives, it is a great thing because it shows that the UN cares about them and will never take their country into any consideration. Since there are many people taking action, I am sure this problem will be fully solved.

This article is about a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Pakistan in the very early morning today. As many as 140 people have died, most of them being women and children and there are 40 people injured. The powerful quake has reduced many houses to rubble , sending the residents into the below 0 degree temperature night. Tremors as big as the actual quake have also been reportedly terrorizing the epicenter and villages nearby. The World Health Organization, the UN, the US, Turkey's Red Cresecent group, and India have all been assisting Pakistan by donating medical aid and supplies.
I believe that it is very unfortunate that such disaster has come to Pakistan. I also believ that all the countries that have donated aid to Pakistan are very kinfd because if that happened to another country, they would need help also.
My prediction is that Pakistan will soon resume its normal routine and recover quickly. I also think that California is due for a bug earthquake because we havent had a big one in many years and the San Andreas fualt is just right there.

'Waterborne diseases feared as death toll varies between 103 and 180' is the distressing headline that caught my attention. Southern Yemen and the ancient city of Shibam were damaged, obliterated, or waterlogged on October 29.
Although we cannot stop these things from happening, we can help repair damage. Already several nations have donated money or supplies to Yemen which was helpful. WHO from the UN has donated 100 thousand and medicine as well for nearly 50,000 patients. The most we can do is just that, give help and comfort to the refugees.
I predict that several more nations will send money, medicine, supplies, or troops to help with the damage controll and finding of bodies. Hopefully Yemen will recover soon from this disaster.

Heavy losses on the Pakistani side have caused them to summon the US ambassador and demand that the missiles ceace.
The missiles have killed two senior al-Qauida commanders on the Pakistan lines and the extremest groups are under pressure.
The entire operation has put the aliance we have with Pakistan in jeapordy. I would hope that this will be resolved in a non-bloody treaty, but I predict that that will definately not happen. Most likely we will lose our aliance with them soon unless Bush takes action. And also, isn't it dangerous to bomb their borders when we have an aliance with them? Isn't there a worry that we would accidentaly bomb half their army? I really hope that things will patch up, but doubt it.

Children for Sale.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4038249/
In this article i learned that hundreds of thousands of boys and girls, as young as five, are being sold and forced into prostitution. One main spot that this issue has been happening has included Bangkok and Amsterdam. Many predators looking for these children gain access to children just for a handful of cash.
I feel that this horendous act must be ceased because these children have done nothing to deserve these terrible actions, and should not be exposed to this kind of abuse. it hurt me to see that children as young as my little sister and brother are being forced into prostitution and no one has done anything to stop it.
I predict that if some form of a group started to help make these horrible actions known, poeple would be informed of them and help these actions be stopped.

This article is about Iraq wanting the USA to make changes to the long awaited security pact. This pact would ban US troops from attacking other countries on Iraqi territory. This will also Iraqis the permission to inspect American weapon ships and would limit when US troops would have immunity from Iraqi laws. The Iraqi government does not want full immunity and wants some restrictions on the American troops. However the United States wants full immunity in order to "protect the country".
I believe that this a very serious issue because if Iraq and the United States of America come to a final agreement it shows the rest of the world that we can get along and be friendly. It will prove to the world that the US is not just attacking Iraq but that the US is trying to make it a better place to live. When this conflict is resolved, the United States and Iraq will have better working conditions and they will be on better terms with each other.
I think that this conflict will be resolved very quickly and efficiently. The United Nations Security Council has already figuring out solutions and resolutions. This issue will have a great ending because both nations and the UN Security Council are working together very peacefully and are coming to successful conclusions. I am confident that this issue will have a positive outcome and successful results.

Summary- This article stated that suicide bombings killed 22 people in Somalia. at the presidential palace, five car bombings errupted last Wednesday. in addition to the 22 people who were killed, 26 others were wounded. a conference was held this week hoping to restore the peace in Somalia, but these attemps were somewhat useless.
Analysis-This is only one of countless terrorizing attacks on Somolia and every time more and more people loose their live on account of these attacks. i think that this is awful and that something shoudl be done imediately to stop it. But that is easier said then done.
Prediction- I would like to predict that other nations will get involved and every thing will be resolved, but realistically that would be unlikely. i do know that if something isnt done, then these attacks will just keep happening and more people will die because of it.

On Sunday, October 26th, in the evening, the United States attacked/raided Bu Kamal village in Syria, which borders Iraq. U.S. soldiers raided a civilian building that was under construction 17 meters inside Syria. They killed eight civilians and injured many others. The U.S. did it to crack down on foreign fighters.
I think that we were very foolish in doing this. Breaking into the borders of a country to reduce foreign fighters, and killing eight civilians in the process, cannot be done this way. The raid was a violation of the country, and was a breach in international law. The attack was obviously made by an officer who made a poor decision and did not think about the legality, or the consequences.
I think that the U.S. will apologize to Syria for a poor choice made by a few men. I think this situation will be discussed in the United Nations, and they will form and approve some sort of resolution, or some international law will be added regarding invasions in different countries.

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/africa/10/29/congo.fighting/
The UN has been trying to end the fighting in Congo due to the extensive fighting and the increasing intensity of the soldiers on both sides. The Congolese Tutsi general, Laurent Nkunda, has just recently declared a cease-fire, due to the casualties that his regime has suffered. The UN’s organization in Congo, MONUC, had been trying to end the fighting since the Congolese rebels had begun to attack the citizens of the DRC. Before this cease fire, the UN had been assisting all the people who had been affected by the killing, and these camps were also being attacked, causing the MONUC ambassadors much worry. As soon as this cease-fire was announced, the UN could breathe a sigh of relief, and were delighted that at least the slaughter had ended, if only for a little while.
I am grateful that the massacres of the innocent people of Congo has finally ended, and the residents are again living a life of peace. I don’t really understand why there is so much killing in this world, and why people cannot be tolerant to others who are different than them, especially since we all are unique and no people are the same, no matter how much semblances they possess.
I think that this problem will soon be solved completely, and there will be no more fighting in Congo. I know that this might never come true, because these cease-fires never last. The people who want to fight always end up finding an issue to damage the other side.

This article is mainly about an earthquake that occured in Pakistan killing at least 170 people and 15,000 people were left homeless. Badly hits were in the former British hilltop resort of Ziarat and about eight surrounding villages, where hundreds of houses were destroyed, including some buried in landslides triggered by the earthquake. Not one house survived the impact of this earthquake. It destroyed many lifes and many homes. The main earthquake struck at 5:10 a.m. local time and a magnitude of 6.4 some of the biggest they've had.
My thoughts is this is a serious concern for many because it destroyed many lifes. An earthquake is a very sad event to occur. I do think they will move on and think ahead to help rebuild their homes.
I predict that there will be some way they will start building and forget about an impact like that. I also believe that U.N. will have some way of helpful hands and help in some way they can.

Summery:
Momin Khawaja, and canadian man who was the first person charged under the country's post-Sept. 11 anti-terrorism law was found guilty Wednesday of ties to a group that plotted to bomb British buildings and natural gas lines. He was accused of collaborating with a group of British citizens of Pakistani descent i the 2004 plan to attack London's Ministry of SOund Nightclub, a shopping center, and electrical and gas facilities in Britain. He pleaded not guilty to all-charges, claiming that the explosives were to be used against miliatry targets in Afghanistan. He was convictied on five charges of financing and facilitating terrorism. He was found guilty on two criminal charges related to the remote-control device, but not guilty to the terrorism prtions of those charges because there was no direct evident.
Analysis:
The United States of America's law, innocent until proven guilty should be taken into consideration on Khawaja's charges. There is no hard evidence to prove these claims and there for, i believe that he should not be convicted until further investigations. The prosecutors have painted him as an extremist who, along with conspirators in Britain, was determined to wreak havoc. I believe that these prosecutors are wrongly charging him and painting a negative image on a - so far - innocent man.
Prediction:
So far the judicial system in Canada has not been very fair, so i predict that this will not turn out that well for Khawaja. Even though there is not enough evidence, i believe that he still will be convicted because of the negative picture prosecutors have a painted of him. There also could be a possibility that the judges could realize that he is innocent until proven guilty and the trial could be postponed until more evidence is required. I believe that would have been the best solution.

This article talked about global warming and the effects of greenhouse gasses. It said that we have reached a point of planetary emergency and that the planet is out of energy balance. There are issues such as increasingly violent storms, plant and animal extinctions, melting ice sheets, and rising sea levels that may happen in the future. If we stop burning fossil fuels and phases out of coal, we may be able to turn the situation around.
I think that it is very devastating that the world is slowly crumbling. I still do not fully understand the causes and effects of global warming, but I do understand that it is partly(mostly) our fault.
I think that this problem will continue to get worse and worse unless more people become informed of it and we take time to realize what is happening to the world.

Dexel, Emmy. “French scientist unveils artificial heart” CNN. Wed October 29, 2008
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/science/10/29/artificial.heart/index.html
Summary:
In this article French scientists at Developers Carter, have revealed a fully functional prototype of an artificial heart. The French engineers have resembled the assemblage and technology to that of an airplanes. This amazing advancement will in turn when fully developed save millions of lives as heart disease kills 17 million a year. In 2006 about 2200 heart transplants were performed according to the American Heart Association. This artificial heat is priced around 200,000 dollars.
I believe that this development would be an asset to medical advancement. Not only it would provide a fully functional heart but it would also reduce the risk of blood infection from the transplants. I also believe that the price would be question by those who cannot afford the prototype.
What I predict will happen is that the industry that is selling the artificial hearts will notice that there are a large number of customers that are in need of this advancement but can't afford it. I also predict that this will be a cornerstone in bio-mechanical organs that can improve and aid those in need of organs.

My article talked about how the Pakistani wants the US commanders on the border to stop attacking suspected militant hide-outs. Senior Al-Qaida commanders have been killed and the Pakistani government thinks that puts pressure on extremist groups and a second al-Qaida group will form. Lawmakers made the US stop the attacks and asked them to find a more effective solution.
I think it's right for the militant hide-outs to be killed and for former Al-Quaida members to get what they deserve. I myself cannot think of a different solution to the problem so I hope our US government does a better job.
I think we will end up finding a different solution and the Pakistani government will find another excuse to get us to stop. I do hope our alliance with Pakistan stays strong though.

The twelve men were sentenced for six years for the "spread of false information which weakens the morale of the nation and damages the state." Then the judge made the term two and a half years.
Analysis: I think that this is stupid for people to make their state look bad. Also i think that it was not right for them to spread false information. I also think the judge did a good job and shortened the term because six years in jail for the spread of false information and damaged state is a little long.

ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now:
Many of you know or have heard of this particular business. ACORN is an organization that registers voters. They are also a left wing liberal community. Also, another fact is that they are supported by Senator Barack Obama. Acorn has frequently been involved deceitful scandals. What happens with them is that they send out many representatives to register voters as democrats or republicans. However, they don’t actually register everyone. They make up several of the people that they register. They once registered a person seventy two times. Also, a cell phone salesman said he was offered “cigarettes” to register after he had already told them that he was registered. What was the motive that these people had which caused them to lie about registered voters? That’s right, money. One employee, Mitchell Clifton said that she helped ACORN register 2,000 lies. “I needed they money” she said, “it was the only job I had”.
Analysis:
Basically, the company ACORN has been bribing their desperate employees to register voters unlawfully lying to our nation. Also, the fact that Barrack Obama still supports this group by providing state funds is an indication of his integrity. Also, for a long period of time Barrack Obama was a lawyer for ACORN.
My Thoughts:
If people can be persuaded by money this easily then where is our country. People will give up their values and integrity for money, even when it comes to lying to the nation. If Barrack Obama is elected, then I hope that he will have some integrity and not back down when faced with adversity. I hope he will be strong and make good decisions, unlike his decision to support organizations like ACORN.

This article talks about how children and men/women in third world coutries are dying of preventable diseases and of HIV aids. Because of this, new infections of HIV have been discovered. It also tells how 11 million people have dies of this and 8 million people have died of tuberculosis.Children are dying of measels even though vaccine is available, it is stated that more people die of this in third world countries than conflict alone.
I agree and see that people around the world are dying of these deadly diseases. But I also think we should do something about it, like offer more medical availability to those in need in other countries and offer more knowledge on the diseases and sicknesses. Although I am aware of this topic being huge in media I feel we haven't reach a big enough audience because if we did not so many people would have died.
Obviously the effort on this topic to cure aids from my view I feel has not changed much and has not made much movement to solve this problem. Although this is a huge a problem around the world I feel that people aren't driven much by death but more by money and right now I feel their looking for a solution for our economic downfall than aids.

This article is about the fact that the war in Iraq is finally settling down. This year has been the most peaceful year in two years. Even 35,000 refugees have been allowed to return to thier houses.
I think that it is very good that the war is hopfully coming to an end and that peace is coming soon.
I predict that this is just a momentary cease-fire, and that it is only a matter of days or weeks until all hell breaks loose and the war starts again.

Summary: This article was about a series of suicide bombing that have killed 22 people in northern Somalia. The attacks included five car bombing targeting the capital of Somalia and truck bombs targeting the presidential palace, the Ethiopian Consulate and a United Nations compound. The Islamic insurgent group who is suspected of attacking is known as Shabab. They are known to have interlinks to the terrorist network and is showing that they are improving and have become an alarming problem due to their acquired power. Shabab has been fighting a war against the transitional government of Somalia and their leaders have promised to overthrow the government. Due to this reason the attempt, in the conference in Kenya, to finalize a peace deal with one Islamic sect is believed to be a failure.
Analysis: I don't understand why someone would take their life for this reason. The best solution would be to talk the problem out and if it doesn't work the first time then just keep persisting. Moreover, wouldn't it be easier to take action if they suspect the Shabab of killing the people. I don't understand why they don't, if they know that the Shabab has connections with terrorist networks that is sufficient evidence that they are a threat to the peace of the community.
Prediction: I also belive that the finalization of the peace treaty with one of the sects will fail because the war will continue. They cannot make peace with the enemy until they stop the fighting. I think that the best way to stop war is to retreat slowly. If the opposing military notices the retreat then they will notice that you are trying to stop the fighting and end the battle. The UN will not resolve the problem until they convince the people to stop the war and make a compromise with the Islamic insurgent groups and the government.

i completely agree that goverments all over the world ARE so corrupt, i mean just look at the elections in zimbabwe, how can you call that a democracy? i think something should be done about this corruption.
i agree with your prediction, and i dont think we should get our hopes up on the war ending just yet, although that would be nice. i think right now we are just in the eye of the storm and not at the end of it.

You had a great presiction, and I agree that the people of India also need to step up in order to stop all the massacres that are occuring.
Comment on Gaby R.-
Great analysis! I agree with you totally that CA is due for the "Big One" soon!
Comment on Sravya C.-
I agree with you that the US is trying to make Iraq a better place to live, but do you think that the US could also be looking to use the oil reserves?

Great job on your current event Aditi. I also think that this is a very serious issue and it needs a lot of work and negotiations in order for it to be resolved. We should be happy that many of the killings have stopped but we should still look out for more signs of danger. Overall, great job Aditi! :)
Commentation #2 on Jordy Z.
Great article Jordy. This issue is a major conflict for the entire world. I agree with you that this can cause the end of the whole world and something must be done in order to stop the world from crumbling. More people should be taught about Global Warming and we should try to cease the worlds end because it is our fault. Great job Jordy! :)

Comment on Joey K. - Excellent analysis of the article. I found the topic very interesting. However, I believe you could expand on all three portions of the current event because it does seem rather minimal
Comment on Edwin - I totally agree with your analysis and prediction. I believe that you thought out your ideations and I believe that what you stated on AIDs is quite powerful and is the opinion of many others in this world.

I comend Joey on his article. His summary was very resourceful to me. He mentioned how for the past two years, it's considered to be the safest years of the war. I felt that his articel backfires to the media, who usually say its the worst times in the war
I comend Parth on his resourceful article. I never did know there was a 6.2 earthquake in Pakistan. I also predict that the U.N. will be inovolved with restoring Pakistan.]
Comments from Gustavo Romero
This article is about how the U.N. wants to send an increasing amount of peacekeepers in Goma. The problem is that the U.N. wants to send the peackeepers to the war zone areas in Goma.
The United Nations estimated about 50,000 are roaming the country looking for protection and food. But there are 70,000 civilians in the capital of Goma who are in desperate need of European aid.
Foreign ministers of France and Great Britian are willing to reinforce the United Nations' peacekeepers in Congo. Oxfam, an aid group, said " EU foreign ministers meeting in the French city of Marseille on Monday should agree to provide European troops as support for the U.N.'s peacekeeping force in eastern Congo so that aid agencies can deliver assistance".
I believe that Africa is the most troubled continent on Earth, but that doesn't mean we should not help them. I predict more countries will donate soldiers to the U.N. to repair Africa.

Comment on Parth J.- You did a good job although you could have added more info about the article. Moreover, I agree with the statement you made about India stepping up and getting tighter security. They do need to realize that the increasing number of bombing is affecting the state of the community and they need to do something about it.
Comment on Noel H.- First of, you did a good job.It shows you have a clear understanding of the problem stated in the article. I agree with you and believe that the US did violate the rights of Syria and should be obliged to apologize and repair all the wrong they did(although they can't bring the people back). Hopefully the UN does get together and create a law to prevent this "mistake" from happening again.

I agree that something should be done, and it is most likely that it won't. Good job on your article! :)
Comment on Mildrid:
Your article is very interesting, but did the UN get involved in helping out? I agree with your prediction, and I also think they should be prepared just in case something like this happens again. Good job writing your article though (:

Summary:
This artcile is about rebels in Congo. it is believed that the cause of tens of thousands of civilians fleeing from refugee camps is the rebels. The rebel leader Gen. Laurent Nkunda seized minerally and agriculturally rich region thta has much of the access to the Rwandan and Ugandan borders. British Foreign Minister David Miliband said that there is a possibility of an European Union peacekeeping force. He told reports that he has a 17,000 srtong, U.N force for security support in the Congo. French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner is to provide humanitarian assistance but not sending troops.
Analysis:
I think that it is a good idea that they are sending U.N Peacekeeping forces to help Congo but i think that France should at least send small troops for back-up.
Prediction:
i think that there would be peace again but i might take a while because this doesnt just happen overnight.

this article talkes about how, for the first time in a week, the un is going to dispach fresh food and clean water to all the people taken from their cities and homes since all of them problems in the d.r. Congo, and lists places the food is going.
i am glad that the u.n. has decided to help these people. i realize that funds are scarce, and that all over the world cost of food and water is going higher then ever befor; still, i think they could send food more then once a week. over 250,000 people have been displaced, and while many of them are trying to get back to their war infected homes through rebel territories, and the u.n. barely sends enough food for even the people who stay in place. in these areas, sexism is common, and so it is likely men will eat first, so what happens to the woman who has to eat and then give all that food to her breast-fed child? neither the mother nor the child will likely live long.
i do like what the u.n. is doing, but i really think more food should be sent. if there is not enough funds, then countries whose economies are doing the best right now, the ones that are prominantly farmland (ie denmark, switzerland, new zealand, and alot of those small land filled countries) should donate food to the u.n., who in turn can give it to the d.r. Congto.

Iraq has started to put hundreds of police officers near its border with Syria to secure the area where foreign fighters enter Iraq. A week ago, a U.S. military raid in a village in Syria caused Syrian border guards to leave their post, leaving the border open. The U.S. believes they led a "successful" strike in Syria on October 26. Some were killed in the raid, and none were captured alive. Syria has made attempts to secure the border, but much of the border remains uncontrolled.
I think Syria should continue to make an effort to have better control over the border. At the moment, their border protection is pretty much out of control.
Border control will most likely improve in the country now that police are going to secure the border. There will probably be fighting over the border, because it was left open.

This article talks about how the Chinese government had to destroy about 3,600 tons of animal feed tainted with melamine. This lead to the international recalls of Chinese dairy products. It has killed 4 people so far, and has caused thousands to become ill.
I think this is damaging China's reputation for exports. They have been recalling a lot of products lately. It also amazes me that they did not check for melamine before they sold the feed.
I think that they will confiscate all of the melamine feed. I think that if this happens again, people will have second thoughts on what is exported from China. However, I think a large amount of people will not care unless it effects them personally.

this articel talks about the conviction of a terriors named Ali Hamza al-Bahlul for 17 counts of conspiracy and eight counts of solicitation to commit murder and 10 counts of providing material to support for terrorism.
i think this article gave a good reason why he got courts and how much he sentence to the courts are all sentences for life in prison
I think its great that they are convicting him for all the harm he caused against the troops and family of the troops.

Jordy, i dissagree with you. Even if the human caused global warming is true, then people knowing about it wont solve it. But if you say that CO2 causes the problems then, we must stop the ocean from existing because it emits by far the most CO2. I bt your not even going to read this anyways. But yeah, no, nice try though

This article is about North Korea's new missile launching facility. It was built to launch bigger and more advance missiles than what they previously had. The missile launch was a failure because it plunged into the water shortly after launch. The missiles are supposed to have enough range to reach the USA. They also might have enough plutonium to make six whole bombs, but they dont know how to put them on missiles.
This is very interesting that they put alot of effort into make this stuff and it fails. We have nothing to fear.
I predict that they will stay behind in the weapons race and will not become a threat ever.

p.s. i am sad about this obamanation. We will all pay when the big companies go broke because of Obama's tax plan, and they will move overseas and people will loose jobs.
Story
In the 2008 presidential election, between senators Obama and Mc Ain history was made the first time a black family has occupied the white house Barrack Oboma was elected president to day . Mc Ain was gracious towards mister Obama and humbly admitted his defeat one of the main resins Obama won was because of the large economic an home crisis
Analysis
The Democratic Party defeated the Republican Party because they had won the hearts of the American voters
Prediction
I think Barrack Obama will make some risky moves in his presidency but hopefully every thing will turn out right

This article was about an attack made some weeks ago by the US against an American school in Damascus. The attack closed down the school and everyone was told to leave. US officials say the attack was towards a top Al Qaeda director, and claimed that he was killed.
Firstly, I do not believe that the people in the US actually knew that the Al Qaeda coordinator was there. They have lied in the past, and may be lying again. Second, they didn’t have to bomb the school, knowing that they could’ve killed him using our armed forces. I believe that this attack will stir some controversy, and soon be forgotten.
