This article talks about how the man that threw his shoe at President Bush seeked asylum in Switzerland. He did this because he was no longer wanted in his own country, and people said that he 'would serve hell in Iraq'.
In my opinion, this was a cowardly act. He should serve what he deserves in his own country, because he chose to throw the shoe at President bush. I also think this was humorous, because it seems as if he regret what he did.
I honestly have no idea what will happen to him. This foreign affair is rather different than others, and is awkward to attempt to predict what will happen.

Summary: A survey by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights has been taken of killed and wounded Gazans, and the numbers aren't good. It has only been a twenty-three day war between Hamas and Israel, at this point, but there has already been 1,284 killed and 4,336wounded civilians. There has also been a count of 700 Hamas militants killed as well. The two sides disagree on the death toll, and Israel denies the ratio of civilian casualties to military casualties. Later, the Health Ministry took a toll of the same people, and their numbers came out to 1,324 killed and 5,400 wounded -40 more dead counted and 1,000 more wounded.
Analysis: I really don't approve of this "war". There are way too many civilian casualties for it to be acceptable. I really wish that Israel and Hamas could just resolve their problems, but I know that is is so much harder than it sounds.
Prediction: Even though a cease-fire has been issued, I still think that they are going to obliterate each other entirely. There's not much anybody can do about it, even a cease-fire.

Well, this article talks about how new President Obama was taking his first day int eh white house. Obama right away started to do some changes according to the war and the economy. When the meetintg was over there were 200 visitors in the White House and Obama said to one visitor, "Enjoy yourselves, roam aeound," "Don't break anything." ;}
I think what Obama is doing is just amazing, something that very few presidents have done in the past years, taking things seriously since the first day, shows that he is prepared, ready for everything, responsible, and shows he cares about America and we the people.
I think that things will get better and sooner than we think. Obama is going to help us all an a way and we are going to be very greatful.

This article is about the recent turmol in Greece over the death of a 15 year old boy. The boy was killed in a riot by a deflected bullet shot by the police. Because of his death, many juveniles have been inspired to rebel against the police and more people were injured. Many things have been stolen from stores, including watches, jewelry, and more electronics. Also, other countries have seen protests that in support of the Greek rioters.
I predict that eventually things in Greece and Europe will calm down because the police and government will gain more control on the situation.
I believe that it was wrong for the police to become so antagonistic but also for the teenagers to become so rebellious. It said that the bullet in the boys body was deformed because it had bounced off a hard surface before hitting him in the chest, which means the police werent aiming for him, it just happened that the bullet deflected off another surface.

This article talks about how a man killed two gang members. The man was saying that it was self-defense and that it was a do or die situation, but no one testified for him. On the 15th anniversary of the crime he was executed.
I thought that the man should not have been executed because he might have been defending himself and being executed for killing two gangsters is harsh.
Well, the trial is already over.

This article is about how the newly the elected President of the United States, Barack Obama, is cutting the Guantanamo Prison as his first actions as president. The prison will be evacuated in an estimated time of a year.
Guantanamo Prison was formed after the terrorist attack of Septemer 11, also known as 9/11. To prevent another attack, then- President Bush had ordered the arrests of any suspicions to any terrorist member for the plot 9/11. The prison holds other prisoners for suspicion of any international threat.
Republicans believe that this is the first fault President Obama has made, believing that once the prisoners are set free, they will rejoin whatever group they were associated with.
I do believe that President Obama is making a mistake because we don't know much of the men who were invovled with the plot. Most of the prisoners are probably inprisioned of a ruthless crime that people don't of.
Why do I believe this? Well, if weren't for President Bush's few smart plans, such as this, our nation could have had more terrorist attack. Look at the trails of terroism has made over the past seven years. Train explosions in London and Madrid. The bombing in southeast Asia. Just recently, the massacre in India during Thanksgiving week.
I'm telling you right now, if the governmet does shut down the prison, there will be more attacks on us.
President Obama must rethink this over.

this article explains that two men were recently arrested for contaminating baby formula, which resuloted in 6 dead and over 3,000 babies sick. thewy did this with an industrial chemical, and had full knowledge of their actions.
okay, they did this because they would make more money, it doesn't take much analysis to see that.but then people start claiming that this was caused by the communist party. they think they were covering it up. why would comunists do this, arn't they all for treatment of everyone equaly? and doesn't it make more sence that these people just wanted a little extrta money? not that it does them any good in jail, but i digress...
so for my solution, theres not much to say. i'm glad they were sent to jail for hurting so many young infants. i don't think commies had much of anything to do with this, just some greedy dorks.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/01/22/obama-seeks-middle-ground-abortion-debate/
This article was about how President Obama renewed his commitment to abortion and how the nation needs to prevent unintended pregnancies, reduce the number of abortions, and support women in the choice they make. He also mentioned that he wants all women to be treated as equal as they can to men. He mentioned that we must all work together in order to help with this reduction of abortion.
I predict that this is going to take some time but some how Obama will make this happen, although it will take the participation of Americans and people working together which doesn't always work out.
I feel that Obama is making a good decision by helping women who are planning to have abortion. Although I don't think abortion is the right thing to do, we are trying to help those who feel this should be done.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-iran-brothers22-2009jan22,0,3617299.story
Summary: The Alaei Brothers, Arash and Kamiar, were sentenced six(Arash) and four(Kamiar) years in prison because they were supposedly part of an "intelligence war" organization planning to cause civil unrest amongst the people in Iran. The "war" was said to be funded by the US and that the only reason they confessed to such crimes was because they were persuaded using threats an violence.
Analysis: Its hard to believe either side on the situation because Iran could be threatening the prisoners to confess in order to have a reason to attack the US or just give the US a bad reputation. However, it could be possible that the US did fund this "intelligence war" in order to try to make a change but just messed up on the way they tried to create it.
Prediction: Hopefully if the brothers are innocent they will get out on the appeal but if they are not then they should be punished.

i agree with you. it seems that no matter what hapens, they can't ever agree. a scease fire will only douse the fames, and they'll be at each others throats again pretty soon.
Comment on Gustavo R.,
gustavo, as much as i love obama, and think he is a great change in america, i have to agree with you. I understand why he wants to do this- i mean, guantanamo is one of the most expensive prisons there is, and obama wants to show he is different and more considerate then Bush.still, i don't think he understands the full reprecussions of this, or how it will effect everyone. his actions are admirable, but he is wrong and you'r analysis is not.
Comment on patrick,
gangsters or not, this is how the situation stands- a man killed two people with no witnesses to defend him. no matter what you say, this looks bad from any direction. can one man really kill two people who want to kill him before he is wounded? especialy gangsters? and why didn't anyone at all see this, or even hear any noise? i think execution is the best thing for him. after all, he deserved a punishment- consirering all they knew was he killed twice- and life long imprisonment is actualy alot cruler then an imediete death. sorry, but i think they did the right thing.
comment on Ellen g.,
i think everyone is in the right in this situation. the police need to instal an understanding that they are in charge, and the teenagers are scared because all they see is the fact that one of them was killed and it could happen again, because of the police. i think you are right, and this will cool down, but i think your idea that it will all blow over is wrong. the kids will have to realize that this was not a planned thing, and that the police are there to protect them. the policee will have to learn that the teenagers need a reason to trust them again. when both sides understand each other, then this will stop.
comment on veronica,
i totalyt agree with you. so far obama has done everything he promised, and has proven to be a great choice. the fact that on his first day he is already changing things shows how strong of a president he is, and that he will be working from the first day to the last.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/wire/sns-ap-eu-britain-3-year-old-smoker,1,2142213.story
Summary: Kelly Marie Pocock pleaded guilty for allowing her three year old boy to smoke. The child was putting a cigarette into his mouth, lighting it with a lighter and taking a drag. It was said that the boy smoked constantly out of habit.
Analysis: Its very sad that everyday there are kids that are doing things that their underdeveloped body cannot handle. There has been an increase in teenage pregnancies, early smokers, early drinkers, and even young drug addicts. WHY? well because sadly, our society promotes it and sometimes, like in this case, careless parents. Moreover, why are you having kids if you aren't ready to be a parent!!! what are you planning to do raise a kid in a miserable situation!! children need love, care, discipline not a cigarette. If you want to have sex use protection... there is tons of it anyways... for girls, the Pill, for guys, a variety of condoms.
Prediction: We need to do something about these problems because the kids are our future, but what future should we expect if 13 yr olds are having kids and 3 yr olds are smoking. we need to pay attention to this generation of children and future generations of children because thy need to be educated in what is right and what is wrong.

http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2009/01/23/asia/AS-Afghanistan.php
This article is about Guantanamo Bay prison camp being closed down, and their prisoners being shipped somewhere else. Many of the prisoners were let free, under Afghanistan leaders. The rest of the prisoners were moved to other prisons.
My opinion on this is that it was a smart idea, in an attempt to befriend Afghanistan. The faster rivalry ends between the U.S. and Afghanistan, the sooner Afghanistan rebels will stop violence. On the other hand, releasing prisoners wasn't a good idea.
My prediction is that the Afghan prisoners from Guantanamo bay will be released, and will create more crimes. In this case, letting out prisoners wasn't a smart idea.

In the following article, The European union is withholding pressure among the Zimbabwe
government in terms of the run-up among a summit of Southern African Development community.
According to the government, this can be a turning point entailing future power-sharing as
a palliative for the country's bitter political stalemate. The president of Zimbabwean,
Rodger Mugabe called the SADC summit in terms of agreeing to the fact of national
unity government. As for the European Union, they are expected to urge closer security of
the massive flow of diamonds coming from Zimbabwe. They are also expected to attend in
Brussels in helping additional sanctions. Since the European Union is being of having
expectance within the Zimbabwe government, President Mugabe states that their money is
nonetheless important; worthless. President Mugabe also stated that he is willing to cooperate
and share power with Tsvanirai, the founder of opposition movement for Democratic
Change who also bested for Mr. Mugabe. Coming form prime minister Tsvangrai as well as the
government of unity, severely failed to materialize the basis of the September power sharing
accord and refuse to not join the unity government without a equal share of ministers and other
senior posts and until the Ugable government stops abducting and persecuting opposition
members.
I feel that it is alright in negotiating that President Mugabe is only able to cooperate is by sharing power with Tsvanirai. Since the Ugable government has abduction and persecution opposition members, they refuse because they do not want to join the unity government. In being selfish and quietly refusing to share some of the power, it is somewhat being stubborn. I also feel that the European Union has the pressure among the Zimbabwe government since the SADC summit has to have terms of agreeing to the fact of equality power.
I predict that hopefully the countries will negotiate and try to work or power but it must be fair. What I mean is that to not be selfish over power and money and realize that you cannot get everything you want and you must have equal power all for one.

Hilary Clinton is now the Secretary of State. She was sworn in Wednesday. Obama and Mitchell will help implement a cease-fire between Israelis and Hammas and support anti-smuggling efforts to prevent the latter from re-arming.
I think that it is wonderful that even though they are new to office, they are working absolutely necessary things--things that have not been solved yet, and call for desperate measures.
Already, things are getting better. I predict that the new president, his cabinet, and his staff will greatly improve things in Gaza, and between the Israelis and Hamas.

I believe that they need to stop fighting and talk out their differences bacause many innocent people are being killed. That doesnt help anybody.

This has resulted in riots to overthrow the Prime minister of many deaths. Comment on Gus R.- We might not know anything about the prisoner's, but that doesn't mean that the government doesn't. you have to remember that the media show whatever the media wants to show! and that is an intense prediction you made... how do you know that their are going to be more attacks on us? its just a risk we have to take and if bad things happen then he made a mistake and we'll know he's human. We as a nation made a choice to elect him so know its his responsibility to make the choices he thinks are best for the country.
Comment on Kathryn R- Unfortunately things like these are going to continue to happen because its part of people's culture. yes it is sad and we have to put a stop to it but we need more support from justice systems around the world. also i think it was the judges responsibility to annul that marriage, but he probably doesn't think it is as wrong as we do because their laws and rights are different compared to ours.

well, obama's done it- he's closed guantanamo bay. many people beleive that he will reach the same conclusion as the previous president and keep them all in there.
i agreed with these people at first. i thought "there is no proof that these people didn't do this. if he lets them go, they could commit more acts of violence." i told this to my father, and he freaked out. he said, "all these people are taken without proof, to a place that's not even american territory, and beaten." i said, "but what if they did it?" "but what if they didn't? our country was based on the idea that people are inocent till prooven guilty, and there is no proof any of them did anything." i didn't really think about it this way at first, but after some thought, i think it is right that obama shut down guantanamo bay, at least until he get full statements and filles on everyone there.
i think obama will release alot of the people at guantanamo once he gets files on them. he is a very nice man, and a fery fair man, but i still can't help fear that he will let the wrong man out, and then were all dead.

This article is mainly about the West trying to prevent Iran to stop their Nuclear reloading. Western powers believe that Iran is running short of the raw material required to manufacture nuclear weapons. Diplomatic souces believe that Iran's stockpile of uranium is almost running out and could be gone in a few months. Countries such as United States, France and Germany started efforts to prevent major uranium producers from selling to Iran.
I believe this is good because we wouldn't have to battle the same nuclear war we have with Iran. This is a complete stop and good news to those other countries Iran has caused harm to others.
I predict that Iran would not be able to acquire anymore uranium if many countries are preventing this from happening. Iran would have a hard year this year without the main weapon they have been using for so long.

The war in Gaza took a huge toll on the adults, but the scars that the children suffered will last for a lifetime. Most of the population, more than half in fact, are under 16 years old, and have been psychologically damaged. Even through this terrible hardship, the children talk about how their families have been attacked and targeted without expression, with a certain detachment. The experts are afraid because these children should not be without expression, but on the other hand, they should be screaming and crying. These children have been so deeply traumatized that they can’t face the reality, or they just don’t want to.
I think its unfair to the children to be caught in the middle of this conflict. They have absolutely no part in the war, yet they are the ones that are being killed brutally. It’s wrong for these children to be affected by the immature acts of the adults, and even worst that they are the ones that make up most of their casualties.
It makes me very sad to say this, but I am afraid that these horrible memories will not disappear from the minds of these children. If this cease fire continues, though, the peace might help the children’s memories to become faint, but they will never completely fade away.

this article was about an accident that the U.S military did. The U.S military believed that a man, Col. Dhia Hussein, was a member of Al Queada do the U.S military raided ttheir home. Despite repeated warnings, thw woman reached for something beneath her matress and the U.S opened fire. the bullet went through her and wounded their daughter in the leg. A handgun was found later under the woman's matress. Then Col. Dhia Hussein attacked the soldiers and they shot him. Council Chairman Hussein Ali Salih said that Col. Dhia Hussein was one of the former army officer and he had no affiliations with any armed groups.Council Chairman Hussein Ali Salih vowed to seek justice but under the U.S-Iraq security agreement, American troops cannot be brought before the Iraqi judicairy for actions during combat operations. Council Chairman Hussein Ali Salih said that he will issue an official complaint tot he Iraqi judiciary.
i think that it was a hideous thing that the troops did. they killed the little girl's mother and father. the mother was probably really scared of the troops and wanted protection with her hadgun and the father was trying to protect his family!! it turned out that he was innocent!
i think that with the U.S-Iraq security agreement, there cant be anything done. i think the people of Alewya will try to get some consenqueses or laws about their rights. i hope that the U.S will think before shooting. i also hope that the little girl finds a good home if she doesnt have any relatives to stay with.

This article is about Gaza after the horrible war. The skies are finally quiet and the innocent civilians are hoping for peace but they are not sure what to expect. Gaza is undergoing a political and physical reconstruction that will take millions of dollars. They also need medical supplies, food, and other necessities in order to survive and make a living. An estimated 4,000 homes were destroyed and 17,000 damaged in the three-week war. Gaza is very thankful for the small cash and food handouts that were given to them by the United Nations fund. However many of the civilians say that the only thing they want is their home back since they worked hard for it.
I believe that this is a horrible thing to happen to these innocent people. It is not their fault that Gaza and Israel went into battle. However, they are the ones that have to suffer the pain of losing their home and belongings. I believe that this is not fair to the innocent people of Gaza and the aftermaths of this war is sickening. Although the war has ended, the war for the Gaza peopl of recreating their home will never be finished. Overall, I believe that this is a horrible thing to happen and I hope that something like this will not happen any time soon for these poor Gaza civilians.
I predict that the United Nations will continue to fund the poor Gaza people and help them but supplies in order to survive. Hopefully the United Nations will not run out of money and the people of Gaza will be able to recreate their homes. In addition, I believe that Gaza should not let their guard down because the position in the Middle East is very unstable and they can be attacked any time soon. THe turmoil in the Middle East will not end any time soon in my opinion.

I think that there being no successor to South Korea is very interesting news. This could also be a bad thing because there would definately be more than one person who wants that job and people may fight over this position. This could either be peaceful or brutal. Great job Emily.

This is very interesting but not at all surprising. The west has always not supported Iran and I do not believe they will do so in the near future. However, the United States is the one that helped Iran build its nuclear fuel facilities and should have expected this outcome. Overall, this is a very serious issue because a nuclear war may break out any time and if Iran uses their nuclear weapons against us, we will have no choice but to bomb them. Great job!

What were they rioting for? Because if there was a riot just for sport, I don't know what they were thinking.

Actually, I think that North Korea may try to take advantage of South Korea in this weakened state, so I think there will be more tension, not less.

Analysis: i feel that it is good that so many of the other countries are getting involved in this election and are staying posted with what happends throughout this election.
Prediction: i predict that with all these people watching an staying in sight og the americans they will begin to understand us a little better and beging ot realize that were not half bad.

This article was about an ex-militia leader named Thomas Lubanga Dyilo who was forcing children under the age of 15 to fight in a Congo war. The leader pleaded not guilty but was turned in by nineteen witnesses out of the 34 after they testified against them. There was also a video but he still would not give in. Lubanga used children to “participate actively in hostiles.”
Basically this leader was forcing innocent children to fight I n these gruesome battles. I cannot believe that people do things like this for no good reason at all- especially the innocent future generation of children who are learning from their elders’ examples.
I think that although Lubanga will be put in jail, it will go unnoticed because so many people do terrible things.

This Article was about how Lubanga's armed group, rectruited, trained, and used hundreds of young children to kill. They even had children rape and pillage. Even though everyone knows he did this, Lubanga pleaded not guilty.
I think that Lubanga should be put in prison for ever, because he took away the innocence of over hundred of children, and they will never get that back. Many of these children will be scarred for the rest of their lives after what they have seen, and what they had been ordered to do.
I think that Lubanga will be guilty and he will be put away in jail, where he belongs.

COATESVILLE, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- Residents looking for an end to a string of arson fires went to Coatesville City Hall on Monday demanding action.
A huge fire spread through more than a dozen homes Sunday outside Philadelphia, authorities said.
"There's blood on this City Council's hands," said one man, referring to the death of an 83-year-old woman in an arson last year.
There were at least 15 arsons in 2008, and 14 more this month -- including a massive blaze over the weekend that burned 15 homes.
The fire caused nearly $2 million in damage and left 11 families without homes, said authorities in the small city west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Monday's meeting at City Hall was supposed to be only a sign-up for neighborhood watch, but many among the dozens who showed up hoped for a chance to voice their frustrations. Watch how closely the arsons were situated »
Some residents say they're afraid to sleep in their own homes.
Steve Miller, who has two children, said his 8-year-old is frightened, and the town is "on edge" because the fires are not concentrated in a particular area.
Don't Miss
Authorities investigating 14 fires in one month
"Everyone's just kind of alert and on edge right now," he said.
Fellow Coatesville resident Vanessa Brickus said she's scared to leave her house, even to go to work. When she is home, she said, she stays up all night out of fear.
"I'm on my back porch. I'm on my front porch. I'm on the side of my house. This is at night. From 11 o'clock at night to almost 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning, I'm peeping out the windows," said the lifelong Coatesville resident. "I don't go to sleep since this stuff started."
A meeting Sunday became standing-room-only as residents packed in. "Chaos erupted" when residents were there before any officials arrived, and some angry people were escorted out, CNN affiliate WPVI-TV reported.
City Manager Harry Walker tried to defuse the situation by asking the residents to sign up for the neighborhood watch program. He said he needed residents working together with authorities "to catch these terrorists and end this tragedy in our city."
"But it's not going to be accomplished through ad hoc assaults on City Hall while we have our regular business to do, which includes, No. 1, getting rid of these arsons," he said.
Authorities in Coatesville vowed to do what it takes to stop the arsons.
"We have placed nothing off the table in terms of how to deal with this matter and how to move forward," Police Chief William Matthews said Sunday.
He added that the city's 11,000 residents can provide "22,000 more eyes" to keep a lookout. "It's vitally important that everyone participate," he said.
In December, Coatesville police arrested three people -- two adults and a juvenile -- accused of carrying out arsons in 2008.
They admitted to setting some fires, authorities said, but while the three were in custody, the fires started coming at a faster rate than ever this month.
The latest fires may be copycat crimes inspired by the fires in 2008, Walker said. He also said the fires this month appear to be connected, while the three in custody for last year's fires appear to have worked separately.
"The [modus operandi] clearly indicates a group of individuals -- but probably with the same aim. So there may be some sense of organization," he said.
Asked if the fires could be gang-related, he responded, "It could be, yes."
The city had "a spate" of gang activity in the summer of 2007, "and we haven't had any further outbreaks," he said. Also, he added, authorities do not believe the gang activity included fires.
arson fires should never happen. it is cruel when it is not done for making smores. blood has been shed for these crappy fires. the residents have had enough of this crap. the city hall people need to do something about this because it is definately getting out of hand!
i think that these fires need to stop. the people starting them need to go to jail for a while to think about what they have done.

WWII Veteran Freezes To Death In Own Home
Bay City Electric & Light Restricted Power To Man's Home After Not Paying Bills
POSTED: 2:20 pm EST January 26, 2009
UPDATED: 6:33 pm EST January 26, 2009
BAY CITY, Mich. -- Officials in central Michigan say a 93-year-old man who owned more than $1,000 in unpaid electric bills froze to death inside his home -- where the municipal power company had restricted his use of electricity.
Neighbors and friends of Marvin Schur want answers as to how this could happen.
“Now that we do know it was hypothermia, there’s a whole bunch of feelings that I’ve got going through me,” said Jim Herndon, a neighbor of Schur’s. “There’s anger, for the city and the electrical company.”
Bay City officials said changes are on the way in an attempt to not let another instance like this happen again.
An autopsy determined Schur, 93, died from hypothermia in the home he lived in for years.
Bay City Electric Light and Power sent Schur a shutoff notice through the mail a few weeks ago.
Then crews placed a shutoff notice on his front door. A few days later, Schur was found by neighbors.
Bay City Electric Light and Power, which is owned by the city, said a limiter was placed on Schur’s electrical line.
The device limits the power that reaches a home, and it blows out like a fuse if power consumption rises past a set level.
The manager of Bay City said the limiter was tripped sometime between the time of installation and the discovery of the man's body.
The city manager said city workers keep the limiter on a house for 10 days, then shut off power entirely if the homeowner hasn't paid utility bills or arranged to do so.
A medical examiner who conducted the autopsy on Schur told TV5 and WNEM.com that Schur died a painful death due to the hypothermia.
Dr. Kanu Varani has done hundreds of autopsies, and he said he’d never seen a person die of hypothermia indoors.
A neighbor who lives across the street from Schur is angered that the city didn’t personally notify the elderly man about his utility situation.
Schur’s neighbor, Herndon, said Schur had a utility bill on his kitchen table with a large amount of money clipped to it, with the intention of paying that bill.
Right now the city said the situation is still under investigation. Marvin Schur was a World War II veteran.
A memorial service for him will take place Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home in Bay City.

this is a rare article because how many people do you know that have died from freezing to death because they were in debt?
our economy sucks. we need to do something about it because this proves that people are dying because of retarded causes.
LONDON, England (CNN) -- The British government was Tuesday ordered to divulge notes from key meetings in which it committed to the 2003 Iraq conflict, reopening controversy over whether the invasion was legal.
"This is an exceptional case," the UK's Information Tribunal wrote in its verdict, declaring that the public interest in learning how the government made its decision outweighed the need to keep government discussions confidential.
The Cabinet has been fighting for nearly two years to keep the notes secret. It has 28 days to appeal the decision.
The decision covers only the official minutes of the meetings on March 13 and March 17, 2003, days before the invasion of Iraq began on the night of March 19.
The notes will be edited "to avoid unnecessary risk to the UK's international relations," the tribunal ruled.
The agency rejected a separate request for the release of informal notes taken by participants at the meetings.
At the March 17 meeting, Attorney General Lord Peter Goldsmith laid out his opinion that there was legal justification for the invasion, according to the ruling. He presented his views to Britain's Parliament later the same day, which made them available to the public.
The verdict is a response to a Freedom of Information request brought by Christopher Lamb in April 2007.
papers were revealed for an iraqi attack in 2003.
i think that they should have revealed these papers sooner because this could have helped us get names and things like that.

In this aeticle, the author explains that the U.N council was urged to look into violations of he law during israel's three week war in gaza. Also, Karen AbuZayd, head of the U.N relief agency in Palestinian territories, says that 15 council members also have a responsibility in making peace for these two nations, and returning them back to normalcy.
In my opinion, the U.N should stop pointing fingers and laying the responsibility specifically on one grop or one person and they should all work together to resolve this problem more efficiently. This may be what appens with other conflicts also, only one group is doing something about an issue and the issue doesn't get resolved quckly enough.
i believe that the result of this issue will be that at some point a group will take responsibility for the topic and the issue will get resolved sooner or later.
