What does it mean to be a hero?

Being a hero it dosent mean dressing up in so werid costume and having super powers and saving the day. It means to be brave and couragous. A hero to me it a person who does the right thing even if it is hard. People who help and of the kids in hopitals and all of the people who help the animals get a home, those are all heroes to me.
heros are people who do the right thing even when every one is against them. they do the right thing even when it seem like the wrong thing. the do the right thing even if it puts their own life and reputation at stake. and they do the right thing even when everyone keeps telling them that its the wrong thing, yet they know inside that its what they need to do. thats what makes a hero.
I think that the true meaning of being a hero means standing up for what you believe in and not backing down, even if there is fear of being chastized for what you do. And a hero is one that helps another willingly, or without wanting anything in return. A hero can be an average, everyday human, and they may not even realize it. But the little things that you do everyday, make you a hero. You dont have to go out and save a kitten from a tree to be qualified as a hero, being a hero in my mind comes from the heart.
Hero's are most commonly thought of as people who save other people's lives and fly around in flashy clothing. Yes, i believe saving peoples live is important so this is one of the ways i think of a hero. However there are many ways that even the most normal of people could be thought of as a hero. A hero that could be found in today's world is someone that has good values and is a good role model to thoes younger, and even older. A real hero is someone who knows right from wrong and doesn't let others pressure then into doing things that are wrong. Someone who sticks by what they believe but will, when proved wrong, be accepting and realize the error of their ways.
The definition of being a hero is constantly going through the minds of people around the world. In my opinion, being a "hero" doesn't necessarily mean that one needs to dress up and have special powers, but to have courage to stand up for what is right. In addition, heroes are also people who choose right decisions and do what is the plausible thing to do, even if it is not a strong belief. When heroes make mistakes they don't let it get to them-they accept and understand that things don't always work and just prepare for the future. Heroes are around us everyday of our lives whether we believe it or not and just because millions of people may not know what they have done, they are all true heroes in my mind.
i belive that a hero is not the image of a man with a gun or some CIA crap, but a REAL hero is someone who puts the ives of other people before his own, even if the situation is dangorous or scary. a true hero does what he knows is right.

A hero to one could be a villan to another, it all depends on how you look at a situation. Moreover, if you have seen the move THE DARK KNIGHT you know that BATman protected the image of Harvey Dent and tainted his just to give people that chance to believe that their can be light in a place that's always dark and full of crime. Some people call that lying but if you were in that situation thats what you would want, to feel safe. IF your in a fire, you know that their are firemen that will save you. If your drowning, there is a life guard. If you are hurt or sick, there are doctors and scientist who work their butts of for new cures. And if you need to feel safe there is all the people I mentioned above and your parents and your religion. And if their is someone who needs a HERO, YOU can be their.
to be a hero is to have character traits that stand out. They can be brave, courgeous and be like a leader. heroes are people that help other people for a good cause. Hero's put family and friends first before anything else. Most heroes are friendly and are respected by everyone else.

people believe that in order to be a hero, you have to fly, have super stregth, have x-ray vision, and look good in spandex. a real hero is doesnt have to fly or wear spandex. A real hero to me is person that would do anything, even put his or her's life in danger, to protect a love one. A real hero also does noble things and doesnt want for something in return. i mean, how many time have you seen Super Man or Batman ask for money after they saved the city from gigantic spiders.(hahaha). a hero can also be a person you look up to. people look up to other people becsuse theyre polite, fair, obendient, trustworthy or even because they have an amazing attitude.
A hero is not a person that has a costume and has super powers and saves the worl everyday. From my prospective a truly hero is some one who has respect for others, some one who is wise, loyal, honest,and justice. We in this world are sorrounded by many heroes like the soldiers who go and give their lifes for us at war or just anyone that will do any thing to save others.

I disgree and agree because not every man has to be a hero, it can also be a women who is strong and independant. To me, a hero can come in any shape or form. They could be small and weak for all i cared.
Being a hero means that you are selfless when times are right, but also caring and cautious, thoughtful and strong, but not always in physical strength. You have to have a strong will, and heart and a real reason to be doing what your doing, otherwise you have no motivation. Paul is a great example of a hero, because he is strong enough to keep his head in very stressful situations.
To me, being a hero is being heroic and to do things that could help others. Being a hero does not involve doing something very big. Even I could be a hero at home if I help my family so something. NO matter how small it may be.

Hero can mean many different things, but the heroes that are among us are people who struggle to do what is right. A person who has the courage or ability to stand up to what is the right thing to do. A hero is a person who can find the strength to look upon the many obstacles they have in their day, being brave and overcoming their problems. Hero is just an ordinary person that doesn't need to have attention, but he sets a light to others and follow the great examples he has. They can do things others think is too tough or afraid to do them themselves.

A hero is someone that you can always count on to be there for you. They dont have to have xray vision or super strength; they can just be your normal everyday best friend or relative. You can always trust and belive that they will be there for you when you need them.

Members of the army, police department, and fire department are obviously heroes of society. However, not all of us can be members of these heroic organizations, but there are other roles we as members of society can fill. In my opinion a hero is someone who stands up for what he or she believes in, does a courageous selfless act, gives back to society, and is a good role model for others.

A real hero is a person that always do what is right, and shows no matter what the justice! That person stands out for doing what is justeven though eveerybody may be against that person! Although alll the obstacles that may over come that person keeps on persevering, never giving up for wat is the right thing to do! That person is a very reponsible person, trustful and is always promoting peace!
to be a hero you must be strong, confident, brave, and never gives up!According to dictionary.com, the definition of hero is defined as a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. I disgree and agree because not every man has to be a hero, it can also be a women who is strong and independant. As we all know that men are most likely to be known as the superhero becuase they are strong and are known to be protective. Overall i believe that the true defintion of a hero is someone who has the capability in saving their surroundings with all the characteristics of being a hero.

To me, a hero can come in any shape or form. They could be small and weak for all i cared.
Being a hero means that you are selfless when times are right, but also caring and cautious, thoughtful and strong, but not always in physical strength. You have to have a strong will, and heart and a real reason to be doing what your doing, otherwise you have no motivation. Paul is a great example of a hero, because he is strong enough to keep his head in very stressful situations.

To me, being a hero is being heroic and to do things that could help others. Being a hero does not involve doing something very big. Even I could be a hero at home if I help my family so something. NO matter how small it may be.
